Michael Trotto has been a permanent resident in Kihei since 1977. Prior to that he lived in Oahu for thirteen years. He served from 1963 to 1973 in the US Navy Submarine Service serving most of those years in Pearl Harbor. Following his Honorable discharge in 1973, he took a position at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard until 1977 and then moved to Maui. In 1977 he was hired by Maui Electric Company and retired from MECO in 2001. In 2004 he attained a real estate license from Maui Community College and has been associated with Pali Kai Inc., Realtors since June 2004. As a realtor he has served on the MLS Committee and has served on and chaired the Government Affairs Committee, and the Realtors Political Action Committee. Michael is a RPAC Sterling "R" Major Investor since 2015 and is presently a member of HAR's REALTOR® Party Committee. He was RAM's 2013 Realtor Salesperson of the Year. He served as the 2019/2020 President of the Realtors Association of Maui. Michael is a founding member of Na Hale O Maui, a community land trust, which has been providing affordable homes in perpetuity to Maui residents for more than 12 years and is presently serving a second term on their Board of Directors.
